New tax laws for online casinos in UK?

The face of online betting in the UK looks all set to get a significant local boost from parliament.

Earlier this year, the UK’s Department of Media and Sport put forward a new bill to introduce new online gambling company taxes and licensing within Britain.

The Gambling Bill For Point of Consumption Tax passed parliamentary review on 9 May and is now only waiting for legislative proceedings to be concluded before it literally becomes law.

The bill specifically aims to limit offshore and illegal online gambling operators by introducing a Point of Consumption Tax to all online and telephonic sports betting operators, as well as all online casinos.
