Ladbrokes moves to Playtech

Former Microgaming-powered online casino Ladbrokes, based in London, has switched over to chief Microgaming competitor, Playtech.

The move shocked many the online casino games industry, and further cemented rumours that despite its recent buyout by former online casino William Hill, Playtech is now the most prevalent online casino games software provider in Europe.

However, insiders have confirmed that the Playtech-Ladbrokes deal was not an exclusive one, meaning that the online casino may still sport games and software agreements by other providers, such as for instance Microgaming.

The former Ladbrokes-Microgaming deal officially becomes void in 2014, meaning that Ladbrokes will be able to make use of Microgaming games and agreements until then.
