Macau is fast becoming one of the biggest gambling hubs in the world and with the reported gross revenues generated by Baccarat reaching 26 Billion Dollars, it’s not hard to see why.
The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau released reports in January of 2013 detailing the amounts being spent at Macau casinos. All games together, the total amount spent on gambling reached the 38 Billion Dollar mark, with VIP Baccarat and Baccarat, the most popular games, contributing 26 of those billions. No small feat considering the fact that Baccarat is not the most popular game, that title, as always, goes to the various slot machines.
Macau, at the end of 2012, played host to a total of 35 casinos, each contributing to this extraordinary number which is why millions of people are flocking to the newly crowned king of gambling hotspots, a title that has been held by Las Vegas for a long time.
